Did you know that food insecurity affects families in our community? In Merrill, many households lack access to sufficient food. The Food For Kids program addresses this by providing meals to students from food-insecure households over the weekends when school lunch programs are unavailable. 
 
For the 2024-2025 school year, the free and reduced lunch rate in our district was notably high at 89.5% district-wide. These statistics highlight the urgent need for our program.
